About Haven Hill

    Our Care Philosophy:

We believe that an individual’s personal independence, physical,  mental, spiritual, and social health will be maximized when health care encourages the individual’s care.

        Our History:

Originally one of the first hospitals in Penticton, formally Penticton Hospital, was built in 1916 and through years of additions and renovations such as maternity, operating rooms, nurse’s residence and lounge. Through funding from organizations and non profit groups hard work went into advancing the hospital into the 20th century. With great service to the community, it outgrew its capacity and the hospital was relocated to another sight in 1953 and still operates to date.

The facility was bought and sold numerous times and received major upgrades in 1985. The new facility has increased our floor space from 28,000 sq ft to 86,000 sq ft. With the addition of infloor heating and air conditioning throughout our facility we are now modernized to meet the comfort of our residents and staff within their home. The new design keeps the focal point on resident home environment rather than commercial design. Each wing consists of a pod of 11 or 15 residents with a servery, dining and lounge areas. With the new layout of the pods we have named them by order of fuits in the valley. Apple, Bartlet Pear, Cherry and Grape our new 30 bed expansion. A total of 112 Residents. We are pleased to present such a well designed building to the Penticton Community. Proud to provide optimal comfort to our residents with the addition of state ot the art Digital control systems throughout. The construction of our new facility has improved on the safety systems and temperature control. Confident we will be around to serve the penticton community for years to come.

As the hospital in its time was focused on service, and care, we have taken that legacy and made it our own. We pride ourselves on the quality of care, and life style for our residents creating a home- like environment of comfort, dignity, and quality of life.
